After we learned the disheartening news that Dolores O’Riordan, vocalist of seminal 90s Irish rock act The Cranberries, passed away suddenly earlier this week, we learned that she was set to record vocals for a new, metal version of their big hit 'Zombie' to be released by the band Bad Wolves. Bad Wolves of course features former God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle, former DevilDriver drummer John Boecklin, and former Divine Heresy vocalist Tommy Vext.
Bad Wolves already had the song recorded and ready to go, so rather than scrap it, they've released it as a single and they tell Rolling Stonethat all proceeds will be donated to the children of Dolores O’Riordan. The band nail their take on the song, and include some updated lyrics:
